Salon returns to its home in Beyoğlu with the +1 Comedy Stage that premiered at the festival, while also opening up to the world! Fred Armisen, co-creator of the series Portlandia, kicks off Salon's autumn season with his musical comedy show, ‘Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome'. Expect witty observations on the humorous aspects of a musician’s life and surprisingly good indie tunes. The performance is entirely in English, with no Turkish translation available.

Comedian, writer, producer, and musician Fred Armisen is globally recognised as the co-writer and co-star of the Emmy-nominated series Portlandia, which he created alongside Carrie Brownstein. He recently starred in the hit Netflix series Wednesday as Uncle Fester and opposite Rob Lowe in Netflix’s Unstable, with both shows returning for a second season. Armisen is also known for HBO’s Los Espookys (writer, actor, and producer) and Our Flag Means Death (actor), Judd Apatow’s The Bubble (actor), Amazon’s Forever (actor and producer), the box office hit animated film Super Mario Bros (voice actor), and IFC’s Documentary Now (writer, actor, producer), for which he received two Emmy nominations. Saturday Night Live fans will remember him for his hilarious impressions and characters over 11 seasons. Before his comedy career, Armisen had a background as a musician, starting with the Chicago-based post-punk band Trenchmouth, and the Blue Man Group. ‘Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome’ is based on his Netflix special Standup for Drummers, Armisen’s first hybrid stand-up comedy show that also showcases his musical talent.
