On one side, Yalla Miku, a multicultural collective from Geneva moving fluidly across genres; on the other, Bound By Endogamy, a dark and minimal duo from the electronic post-punk scene.
Yalla Miku, the first act of Switzerland-based Bongo Joe Records’ 10th anniversary celebrations, followed their self-titled debut album from 2023 with their second album 2, creating a richly layered world moving between post-punk, Afro-funk, disco, dub and Krautrock, enriched with East African touches. Led by Cyril Yeterian, one of the founders of Bongo Joe Records, the band has become one of the most distinctive projects of the Geneva underground scene with their live electronics, a strong collective spirit, and multilingual vocals singing Arabic lyrics reaching back to Yeterian’s family roots. Closing the night, Bound By Endogamy, was formed in 2019. Working sometimes in home studios and, when they needed to escape, in ‘car studios’, they developed their singular sound with a DIY aesthetic at its core. After releasing several singles from 2021 onwards, they made a strong mark on the international underground scene with their self-titled debut LP in 2023. In 2024, they released a collaborative EP with Raw Ambassador for the label, Acid Avengers. Their latest album, Highways Have No End, arrived towards the end of 2025 via the prestigious Dutch label, Pinkman. Having performed on numerous tours across Europe, the duo channel their tense universe into hard-hitting, high-intensity live performances.
An ever-shifting energy across genres; a mechanical, hypnotic and industrial post-punk assault.
