A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer working across a broad musical spectrum.

Balkay began playing the trumpet at the age of nine and, since 2016, has contributed her trumpet and vocals to the concert and album projects of many prominent names on Türkiye’s alternative music scene, including Evrencan Gündüz, Sedef Sebüktekin, Can Ozan, and Nova Norda. Since 2018, she has accompanied Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut on trumpet, keyboards, and backing vocals. Since she began releasing her own music in 2019, she has drawn attention with numerous singles and collaborations, as well as her first solo album KUYU in 2021, featuring songs entirely written and composed by her. Following the album, she performed at various venues and festivals across Türkiye. The artist has also performed at the Jerusalem Jazz Festival, Mannheim Enjoy Jazz Festival, and in London, continuing to open doors to new emotions with her distinctive music.
