In late June this year, Monsieur Minimal made a swift entry into our personal music playlists when he joined the +1 Presents: Gezgin Salon Festival as a guest from Greece. He first captivated us in 2008 with ‘Love Story’ from his debut album Lollipop. After many years on stage, he moved to Athens following the release of his first album. It was in this city that his albums Pasta Flora and Minimal to Maximal, reflecting the dark spirit of Athens, were born. However, his darkest work emerged in his fourth album, High Times, released in 2015, where tracks like ‘Gaidadelic’ touched the deepest corners of our souls. His album Easteria, blending the words ‘East’ and ‘hysteria’, arrived in 2020. On 6 June, he released Seven, an album poised to become a standout in his career, masterfully borrowing elements from soul, funk, disco, and indie. This autumn, Monsieur Minimal returns to Istanbul, this time at Salon, for those who love memorable melodies.
