You might have heard Allysha Joy’s voice or name anywhere. She was the lead vocalist of Melbourne based hip-hop collective 30/70. Her debut solo album, Acadie: Raw, won the Best Soul Album at the Music Victoria Awards and was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Worldwide Awards. On the live circuit, Joy has performed alongside the likes of Ezra Collective, The Teskey Brothers, Children of Zeus and KOKOROKO as well as performing at notable festivals such as We Out Here, Montreux Jazz Festival and a stand out performance at New York Winter Jazz Festival, 2024. In 2022, she presented a fresh synthesis of her poetic practice with her second album, Torn: Tonic. Her captivating performances, husky voice, potent lyricism, and what she does with her Fender Rhodes have transcended borders and continents, earning her a global fanbase.

Allysha’s husky vocals sonically sync with her formidable Fender Rhodes playing, arching across influences from jazz, soul, broken-beat and R&B with that uniquely inimitable “Australian” sound.
