A one-woman powerhouse: Lyrics, music, vocals, guitars, keyboards, arrangement, production, and recording, all bear Güneş Özgeç’s signature.

She was involved in almost every stage of music until she started releasing her own songs, filled her bag, and made a successful entry into the music charts with her single ‘Kahve’ (Coffee). In the following songs ‘Ikaria’ and ‘Sonbahar’ (Autumn), she continued to undertake the lyrics, music, and arrangement. She didn’t give up on strings, keyboards, and guitars, nor the comfort of her living room/studio. After releasing ‘Güneş Yüzüm’ (My Sun Face) in 2020, she spent the pandemic period in her home studio. She reflected her determined character with the songs ‘Bence Gerçek Hepsi’ (I Think It’s All Real) and ‘Düş’ (Dream), reminding that one only needs oneself to emerge from murky waters. In ‘Bir Rüya’ (A Dream) recorded with Taner Yücel, she greeted Turkish pop music. She touched the songs of Kalben, Mabel Matiz, Brek, and Selin Sümbültepe, and made film scores. She named her 7-track album inspired by Jim Morrison’s lyrics, ‘I'm the lizard king I can do anything’. Titled ‘Kertenkele Kraliçe'nin Zamansız Masalları’ (Timeless Tales of the Lizard Queen), the album marks Güneş Özgeç’s first appearance at Salon.
