An electro-acoustic trio in which Istanbulite musician and producer Tolga Böyük walks in the shoes of a fictional character composing the songs of a fantastic universe.

Chasing new and exotic timbres by infusing their music with the vibrations of time, Islandman’s each stage performance provides a new space for exploration. Discovered in 2016 by the Danish indie label Music for Dreams, the band released their debut album ‘Rest in Space’ in 2017 following their EP ‘Ağıt’. Started as the solo project of Tolga Böyük, Islandman evolved into a multi-instrumentalist trio that brings listeners the sounds of Anatolian psychedelic. They got recruited by the Night Out programme of the 25th Istanbul Jazz Festival after their stage appearances at the festivals of Cappadox, Sunbeat, Apple Flower, Montreux Jazz and Boom. This time, they will bring their shamanic ritual to Salon.

Electronic tunes and ethnic rhythms, coupled with a shamanic touch and moody guitars will invite you to dance.
