Sister of Tom Misch, from the Misch family of artists. Artist and producer from London who works wonders on the experimental and jazz-infused side of electronica with her saxophone, synthesizer and a voice that would make angels envious.
She made her debut with her first EP, Shaped by Who We Knew, in 2016. In London’s boundless experimental jazz scene that has been leading the new age of jazz and expanding the forms of the genre in recent years, her EP caught the attention of music guru Gilles Peterson. She appeared on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 and Jazz FM numerous times. She released her self-produced first album, Playground, in May 2017. Laura Misch has raised her success to the next level with her EP Lagoon, where she harmonizes her beats with her saxophone, and turns music into her playground with her experimental approach. She has earned adoring admiration from names such as Phil Taggart and Jamie Cullum. The European tour she went on with Salon’s dearest Khruangbin was followed by her performances at distinguished festivals including End of the Road, Visions, All Points East, Meadows in the Mountains, Oslo Jazz Festival and Blue Dot. Her second album, Lonely City, was released this year in May. Most recently, she has collaborated with Michael Kiwanuka on the highly acclaimed single Money, and the single Follow recorded with her renowned and successful brother Tom Misch has been streamed millions of times.
You will adore Laura Misch who will appear for the first time in Turkey at Salon İKSV as she intricately crafts electronica and jazz, layer by layer with her saxophone and a voice that will unburden your soul.
This event has an age restriction of 18.
