An Ankara-born veteran of the Turkish electronic music scene and a true wizard of the dance floor.

In the early 2000s, he set out to build his own musical universe. While studying graphic design in Ankara, he joined bands in whichever genre he felt closest to at the time, taking to the stage with a metal outfit as readily as with a Seattle grunge collective. The first fruit of the dance music productions he had been shaping for years arrived with his 2007 debut album Even Better, which fundamentally transformed the live language of electronic music in the country. For two decades, moving fluidly between electronic pop, dance and rock, he has delivered hit songs and built a distinct stage culture. Tracks such as ‘Automatik’, ‘Bi Dans Etsek’ and ‘Koyver Kendini’ have become part of a collective memory stretching from club nights to festival main stages like those of Rock’n Coke and Radar Live. Across more than ten studio albums, he has personally handled nearly every stage of the creative process, from lyrics and composition to arrangement, production, mixing and mastering. In his music videos, he brought a fresh perspective to Western electronic aesthetics by weaving in local references ranging from kolbastı to ayran, from lahmacun to bathhouse attendants. Now is the time for Bedük’s first and most anticipated performance at Salon İKSV.
