Chanel Beads emerged from the depths of the internet in 2022 with the genre-distorting singles ‘Ef’ and ‘True Altruism’, leaving first-time listeners in a limbo between reality and illusion, the timeless and the fleeting—and locked in two years of anticipation for the debut album. A hazy relic and a digital snapshot of human experience all at once, Your Day Will Come finally arrived in 2024 under the Jagjaguwar label. Its sold-out lunch show didn’t just answer questions about Chanel Beads—it sparked even more. Across 9 strange and boundary-pushing tracks, the album layers synthetic and organic sounds to dissolve the line between dream and reality: clunky acoustic guitar, gutting strings lands, manipulated recordings of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and ‘80s sophisti-pop basses played through MIDI. On stage, Shane Lavers, singer-songwriter Maya McGrory (Colle) and experimental instrumentalist Zachary Paul weave together in absolute catharsis. Now, they transport the restless, electric spirit of Dimes Square straight to the heart of Beyoğlu.
