Hannah Merrick and Craig Whittle turn the ordinary moments into melodies. The aesthetics of the everyday on their debut I’m Not Sorry, I Was Just Being Me evolves into full-blown celebration of the mundane on their latest album Big Swimmer. Merrick’s smoky, witty and fluid storytelling intertwines with Whittle’s fiery guitars, and on two tracks, they are joined by indie powerhouse Sharon Van Etten on vocals. King Hannah raises the bar – bringing the lush tones of the ’70s and the hazy noise of the ’90s into their live sound.
