Sharing his time between Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam, Thomas Azier made 5 albums over the last 10 years. Having started as an electronic pop artist, Thomas is now shaping the contours of his own music. The album Love, Disorderly (2020) was already a clear indication of the path he’s on. His new work, The Inventory of our Desire (2024), takes the exploration even further. Working with jazz saxophonist Maarten Hogenhuis, drummer Simon Segers, and experimental guitarist Obi Blanche encouraged him to morph his voice into different identities, opening up an exciting range of possibilities. Ultimately, through collaboration and experimentation, he seeks his own form of pop music. Over the years, Thomas played more than 500 concerts and festivals such as Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Eurockéennes, Montreal Jazz, and received two Edison Awards, the Deutsche Schallplatenkritik for “Rouge” and a Berlin Music Video Award for “Verwandlung”. Now, five years after his first performance in Türkiye, Thomas Azier returns to Salon.
