A duo born out of the cosmopolitan culture of London, seeking the psychedelic spirit of the 70s in the musical skies of Turkey, France, Brazil and America.

Kit Sebastian was founded by Kit Martin and Merve Erdem in 2018 in London. Martin is a multi-instrumentalist who has been involved in music since the age of 12. He showed his talents at the age of 15 with the first LP he released with his teenage band. He currently works at his analogue studio near London and records all the instruments for Kit Sebastian. Born in Istanbul, Merve Erdem studied film in Rome, lived and worked in the US and finally settled in the UK. She writes and sings for Kit Sebastian, and is largely responsible for the band’s captivating videos. The duo recorded their first album ‘Mantra Moderne’ in almost one sitting, in only 12 hours, and their Pitchfork-rated second album ‘Melody’ came in 2021. They sing in Turkish, English and French, and although they approach all genres with a slight sarcasm, they never compromise on exoticism. Kit Sebastian may as well be the discovery of the year.
