After making its debut at the Gezgin Salon Festival, Salon’s Comedy Stage makes stand-up a permanent part of its home in Beyoğlu, following the grand homecoming with Fred Armisen. Featuring six 15-minute stand-up sets by TuzBiber’s top comedians, every Tuesday will see a different line-up at the Salon. The performances are, unfortunately, in Turkish.

TuzBiber, a pioneer in popularising stand-up comedy in Istanbul, began in 2015 as an initiative by Enes Uysal in a bar in Beyoğlu. This group of friends later made Aylak Bar Kadıköy its base, offering shows in both Turkish and English, regular open mics, video and podcast content, becoming one of the first permanent venues for independent comedy. TuzBiber continues to keep alternative humour alive with tours at home and abroad, ensuring its audience is never left without laughs.

Every Tuesday, Salon opens its stage to six different comedians with a single ticket.
