An Istanbulite shoegaze band, formed by childhood friends Oğuz Kont and Sarp Dağlar Şahin.

The duo released their first single ‘Gentrification’ in 2015, after working on different project for over 10 years. With their following three-song EP, ‘2015’, they signalled that soon they will be one of the main ambassadors of instrumental shoegaze and dream pop in Turkey. After the EP, they released their first longplay, ‘Back in Town’, consisting of 7 songs. In 2016 came the ‘Afterclap’ and soon after, they shot a commercial video with the Italian car manufacturer, FIAT. After performing at several festivals in Istanbul, İzmir and Ankara, they released their single ‘Turkish’ in 2018, with which they have reached a global audience. ‘Under The Sun’, their pandemic release, remains to be their listeners’ favourite. Switching from a duo to a trio with Can Sürmen taking over the drums in 2022, The Flabbies accelerated their pace and introduced their new son ‘Jungle’ in April 2022.

One of the most anticipated names in Salon, Charlie Cunningham is likely to leave a huge mark with his first concert in Turkey.
